Paige M. Melendres, Esq.
Ms. Melendres is a graduate of New York University School of Law where she was a Robert McKay Scholar and a member of the NYU Law Review. Ms. Melendres also received an LL.M. in taxation from New York University School of Law.
Prior to becoming a principal of Melendres, Melendres & Harrigan P.C., Ms. Melendres practiced tax law in New York City at the international law firm Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, where she specialized in federal and state tax law and worked closely with financial institutions and corporate clients on matters such as debt and equity offerings, private equity fund disclosures and corporate reorganizations.
In addition to her tax practice, Ms. Melendres specializes in complex regulatory analysis and advice ranging from general corporate formation and reorganization requirements to specific state and federal regulatory schemes. Ms. Melendres also drafts necessary corporate documents for clients. Ms. Melendres advises clients regarding employment law and employee benefits.
Ms. Melendres also has general litigation expertise handling matters such as private actions, corporate disputes and qui tam actions. Ms. Melendres has extensive experience advising not-for-profit organizations on a variety of matters. Ms. Melendres is admitted to practice law in New Mexico and New York.
